  • The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux title fight will be decided at Circuit Zolder

  • Milan Marczak heads to the season finale with a 20-point lead, while David Dziwok leads the rookies!

Hockenheim, 14 September 2026. The renowned Hockenheimring hosted the fifth round of the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, featuring two intense 30-minute plus one-lap sprint races. Milan Marczak (Ajith – Redant Racing) and Jaap van Lagen (Team RaceArt) shared the victories and will head to Circuit Zolder to decide between them who will be crowned the new champion of the fastest one-make cup in the Benelux on 17 and 18 October.

There were just five points between the two title contenders heading to Hockenheim, and Jaap van Lagen immediately reduced the gap by four points by taking pole position on Saturday morning. The reigning champion was faster than his title rival Milan Marczak and Paul Meijer (Quanloop EST1 Racing). Among the rookies, Henry Wheeler ([a-workx] by KATANA Tools) secured the best starting position.

However, Jaap van Lagen's ambitions came to an early end on Saturday, as he was forced to retire with damage after just one lap. Milan Marczak made a strong start and subsequently controlled the race to claim his fourth victory of the season. Paul Meijer finished second, less than five seconds behind, although he was never really able to challenge Marczak. He finished ahead of the Rookie winner, a strong-performing David Dziwok (Team GP Elite). Jan Seyffert (MDM Motorsport) crossed the line in fourth, ahead of the second- and third-placed rookies, Henry Wheeler and Jan Antoszewski (Jachu Racing).

The PRO-AM victory went to 2026 champion Jani Kakelä (39 Racing), ahead of Levent Türkmen of MDM Motorsport, who sits second in the standings.

Van Lagen strikes back in tricky conditions

On Sunday, a brief rain shower just before the start added an extra challenge, as did a short interruption to the race during the early stages. Some drivers opted for rain tyres, which initially appeared to pay off, but in the end the slicks proved to be the right choice.

That did not stop Jaap van Lagen from taking a highly impressive victory on slicks and a drying track, his fourth of the season. “It was really tricky, but I did what I had to do: take the victory,” said the Dutchman in the colours of Team RaceArt after the race. “If I want to keep my hopes of another title alive, I need to do the same in the finale.”

Behind him, Meijer and Marczak shared the remaining podium positions, meaning the 18-year-old 2025 rookie champion heads to the Belgian finale with a 20-point lead. “I’m obviously very pleased with my weekend, as I have significantly increased my advantage,” said Marczak. “I’m heading to Circuit Zolder with ambitions and I’m looking forward to a sporting finale.”

Meijer finished fourth, ahead of the top two rookies, Joep Muller (Muller Racing by JW Raceservice) and Henry Wheeler, while Joep Breedveld (Team RaceArt) completed the podium in third.

Among the rookies, David Dziwok, Saturday's winner, scored no points but still narrowly leads the championship, with a two-point advantage over Breedveld. Muller and Wheeler also remain in contention for the title among the young talents.

Jani Kakelä once again claimed the PRO-AM victory.

The stage is now set for the season finale on 16, 17 and 18 October at Circuit Zolder!
